Here's a question I can't answer myself! There's just too many movies that I like...
I don't have a particular genre that I like best either. I love action, comedy, romance, horror, sci-fi, and so on.

Is there anyone out there who can answer this question more definitively?

The Fellowship of the Ring is obviously the best movie ever. The actors, actresses, directors and producers are all absolutely astounding! Certainly my top pick.:D

The Dead Poet's Society is one of Robin Williams' best, in my opinion! There's a wonderful balance between his comedic side and his more serious side.

The Matrix has got to be one of the most original and fantastic movies to come out of Hollywood in a long freakin' time!! It's got everything a movie junkie could want - a conceptually amazing storyline, action, kick a$$ special effects, a killer score, a pinch of comedy and a splash of romance for good measure.

Haven't seen Quills...*adding to list of movies to rent*

The Fellowship of the Ring was brilliantly done - kudos to cast and crew! It was a visually stunning creation of one of my favorite stories and it's on my list of movies to buy. Elijah Wood was spot on as Frodo...
I can't wait to see TTT!!:D

you should definitely rent quills.

in opinion, Quills is better than Titanic. *_*

the story is different from the ones i usually rent.

i am not gonna' spill the storyline here but it is a MUST.

enjoy the movie. ^_^

You should also try "Amelie"

The setting is in France.

Amelie is the only child of the family. she's quite a loner, but she looks cute. The whole story starts when she discovers a childhood treasure on her bathroom wall. Since then, she had the thought of helping other people. She befriends an old painter just a floor below where she is staying (she's not staying with his father, her mother's dead). This is kinda'comedic because she took her father's gnome and just sent it around the globe, pretending that the gnome is traveling. She works in a local cafeteria. Then she met a handsome guy.

enough of this... try watching it. For me it is kinda good. It's upto you if we have the same taste for movies.
just give me a response. i'll be delighted to see it posted.

*_*

I thought I was ALONE in that obsession. That is definitely in my top ten favorites ever. I am not a huge Bill Murray fan, but I adore him in this movie.

Other favorites:

"The Wizard of Oz" with Judy Garland, et. al. Some things need no remake. The color always startles me in the film if I haven't seen it awile.

an obscure Norman Lear made for TV movie, starring Gene Wilder and Donald Sutherland as twins. Called "Start the Revolution Without Me" -- it lampoons the work of the writer Alexandre Dumas and all those French tales/myths of twins...[Man in the Iron Mask, Corsician Brothers, etc.]. The movie even has a cameo by the late Orson Welles.

While I don't love it, I just saw "Gangs of New York" on DVD and was blown away by the sets and the performance of Daniel Day-Lewis as the brutal "Butcher" a/k/a "William Cutting" was robbed of an Oscar last year. Although Adrian Brody was also deserving in "The Pianist."

The list is very long -- so I'll stop here.

i love horror. 'they' is good. (nightmare on elm street 1 still gives me the creeps...) the ring could have been scarier... darkness falls wasn't that great either... the others is good.
Book-Master
My favourite movies would include: Dune (1989), Patton, A bridge to far, The Man who would be King, Stalin, Saving Private Ryan, and Enemy at the Gates.
