How many active members are there here? This place is about as dead as can be.
Could those who read this thread please just post a quick note to let others know who's still checking in?
At best I've counted maybe 5 members who've posted since I joined.
Who's keeping the fires burning here? |

| I check out the site daily for new information. I'm not totally positve, but I think something happened to the original founder of the web site. Some other guy (that designed the site) took over for a while and nothing really happened. The last thing I knew (a few months ago) yet another gentleman contacted me via email to say he was taking over the site and going to make changes and "liven" it up and all that... and I wrote him back and never heard from him again. How's that for a pulse? It might not be a wonderfully active community, but there are both stats and keyword advantages to being a member of this site. I also just met Wendy Turner (author of "With No Harm") that just signed up to this site and is using it as her main web site contact. Anyway, I'm here and alive. Be well! |

When I don't see any activity, I susualy pop in once a month to read posts. Maybe that will chagne and I'll become more active.

I'm around, but only from time to time. It's a catch 22 situation though: few posts are made, so few people come, so fewer posts are made, and then fewer people come... We all need to keep posting anything we have to share and then it will grow.
Also, I've found these forums keep growing over time. Some forums alert me via email when new posts are made, which I always find helpful.

When Epone immigrated from England (the fish & chips reference) he had his lungs x-rayed (to see what was living there) and then moved to California (home of excellent Mexican food - the current tacos and guacamole smell).
If you haven't explored his site, sxyvxn3779, I recommend it. Check out the pix and his blogs. You'll get a good sense of our friend.

Hi -- I'm new to the site and was wondering if anyone can tell me if they think it's worth upgrading to "premium author" status in order to get the ad, and if the ad has made any real difference in gaining exposure.

I am new here too. One of the things that attracted me to join is that you do not get much forum spam here.
To be honest, I don't mind the few posts, as long as they are good.
I especially enjoyed the replies to the 1200 page book author...

I just thought of something...
Am I the longest standing member who still comes here? o.O Wow. Never been one of those before, heh.
If I ever get around to writing some more short fan-fiction works I'll be advertising the site. Luckily, I have enough of a potential fanbase to pull some people in, I think. |
